UK FOUNDATION BOXER DOGSPOST WORLD WAR TWO
Unfortunately, none of the Boxer CC winners from the five pre-war shows were still alive. The first ever Boxer CH "Horsa of Leith Hill", died during the War at only three and a half years old. The bitches, "Stainburndorf Wendy", "Stainburndorf Vanda" and "Gold of Uttershill", all died during the War when whelping or very soon after, although luckily, some of their progeny survived to be bred from. Judges Critique - "Went through his classes to Best Dog; full of character, really god body, lovely quarters; neck, front and shoulders pleased; good head; sound; difficult to get the best out of owing to kenness. I would prefer him with more bone; big enough; his fair American Service handler handled him to perfection". Born - 22 Apr 1943 Sire - Stainburndorf Zulu Dam - Panfield Astra
